Portable power station runtime calculator
Enter the station’s battery size in watt-hours (Wh) and choose what you’ll power. Output limits are checked too.
Assumption: ~85% for AC loads. This is a planning figure, not your station’s spec; DC/USB loads lose less.
Appliance wattages used by this calculator
The same sourced figures the calculator uses (also in plain HTML). Ranges are shown in full; the calculator uses the upper end. Starting watts = total watts while a motor starts. Full chart with notes.

The formula
Runtime (h) = battery Wh × efficiency ÷ total running watts. Example (hypothetical): a 1,000 Wh station powering 100 W of loads at 85% efficiency lasts 1,000 × 0.85 ÷ 100 = 8.5 hours.
- Total running watts must stay under the station’s continuous output, and motor starts must fit under its surge rating.
- Real runtime depends on temperature, battery age and how the inverter behaves at light load.
- Other runtime calculators use similar math and a ~0.85 factor (for example SmartEnergyPH and Power Station Watts), but that factor is an assumption, not a measured value for your unit.
